Keisman

Jeni Keisman is the Hydrologic Impacts Branch Chief for the Earth Systems Processes Division of the U.S. Geological Survey’s Water Mission Area. Prior experiences include synthesis of scientific insights to inform future research directions and environmental management decisions, explaining factors affecting trends in water quality and habitat conditions, analysis of water consumption for producing transportation fuels, and research on nitrogen and phosphorus cycling in forests. Before joining the USGS, Jeni held positions as an American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) Science & Technology Policy Fellow at the U.S. Department of Energy and as a research scientist at the University of Maryland. She holds a Ph.D. in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from Princeton University, a M.S. in Sustainable Development & Conservation Biology from the University of Maryland, and a B.A. in History from St. Mary’s College of Maryland.
