Ellen Kohl is an Assistant Professor of Geography and Environmental Systems at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. Her primary research and teaching interests are at the intersections of environmental governance and systemic oppression with an emphasis on environmental justice activism and policy. Her current projects look at the role of science as both a tool of oppression and as a potential tool of liberation for scientists, policymakers, and activists.
