Yusuke
Kuwayama

Yusuke Kuwayama is an Associate Professor in the School of Public Policy at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and a Fellow at Resources for the Future (RFF) in Washington, DC. He studies the economics of water resource and ecosystem management, with a focus on federal and state regulation of ambient water pollution, water management to protect aquatic species habitats, and sustainable water use in agriculture. He is an at-large appointee to the Chesapeake Bay Program’s Scientific and Technical Advisory Committee (STAC) and serves on the Water Science and Technology Board (WSTB) at the National Academies. He received his Ph.D. in agricultural and applied economics and an M.S. in economics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and an A.B. in economics from Amherst College.
