The Scientific and Technical Advisory Committee (STAC) provides scientific and technical guidance to the Chesapeake Bay Program on measures to restore and protect the Chesapeake Bay. Since its creation in December 1984, STAC has worked to enhance scientific communication and outreach throughout the Chesapeake Bay watershed and beyond.

Climate Change and the Chesapeake Bay: State-of-the Science Review and Recommendations
The report, released September 2008, details the probable effects that climate change will have on the Chesapeake Bay and explains the need to adapt restoration efforts and resource management to account for environmental changes.

Scientific and Technical Needs Assessment
As the Chesapeake 2000 agreement (C2K) is now the regional community's ”Strategic Plan” for restoring the system, STAC has drafted this list of recommendations for undertaking the restoration.

Chesapeake Futures: Choices for the 21st Century
Chesapeake Futures outlines the likely consequences of choices we are making at the dawn of the 21st century, and their implications for the future of the nation's largest and historically most productive estuary.

Chesapeake Bay Program Website
The Chesapeake Bay Program is a unique regional partnership that has led and directed the restoration of the Chesapeake Bay since 1983. The webpage provides information on the program itself as well as specific information for each of the many subcommittees and workgroups.
